As an artist working in areas of boundary and cultural construction, Heidi Bender has been greatly impacted by extensive travels within the U.S., Latin America, and Canada. She has exhibited in group and solo shows regularly since 2003, most recently exhibiting in O.A.L.'s "Uninvited Guests" exhibition in Columbus, OH, The Callan McJunkin Gallery in Charleston, WV, and in the Huembes Folkloric Market in Managua, Nicaragua. Heidi graduated from Hope college in 2004 with a B.A. in Studio Art and has completed the Sculpture & Expanded Practice MFA program at The Ohio University.
