Enterruption!

Gallery component of Enterruption! with sliding map case, images of interventions on site, and motorcycle parked on portable parking space.
Enterruption!, a two week series of daily art interventions in Athens, OH, was created in a similar conceptual vein as Urban Napping. During this time, I would use a reversible, motorcycle-sized parking space created to roll up and transport on my back to create parking spaces of my own choosing throughout Athens, OH. I would document the intervention, one-hour photo develop an image of the act, and then drive the cycle back into the gallery where it would be parked back on the cycle space. I would then place the photo along with debris from the site of the intervention on a bracket with the documentation of previous Enterruption! events. A map of the geographic range of the interventions displayed in the gallery would then be slid out from its case and the location of the intervention documented on this map.
